Kinesio Taping

One of the most common errors that many individuals make when suffering with pain and discomfort (or have been injured) is to wrap the affected area. While this has some merit, it can also have some disadvantages to it and may make the situation worse. The proper procedure in many cases is to have Kinesio Tape applied properly by chiropractic Las Vegas professionals at Canyon Lake Neck & Back Clinic.

Kinesio Taping is a technique that is used to rehabilitate affected areas. When done properly, kinesio helps to encourage the body’s natural healing process. When the Kinesio tape has been applied correctly it does not hinder the range of motion, but gives enough support and stability to allow the muscles, joints and soft tissue to go through their healing process. When the Kinesio tape is in place it manipulates the soft tissue similar to what a massage does.

The Kinesio Taping technique works very well with a whole gambit of sports injuries but works equally as well for…muscular facilitation, pediatric patients, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back strain/pain, knee conditions, shoulder, conditions, hamstring injury, groin injury, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, edema, ankle, sprains, neck pain, headaches and foot pain.

Not only is the proper application of Kinesio Tape required to achieve the maximum results, but the type of tape that is used is also important. Tape such as "Rock Tape" is often the preferred tape as it possesses all of the qualities needed to allow the Kinesio Taping procedure to work correctly.

In order for Kinesio Taping to be fully effective it must be done by a highly trained professional that is experienced with the techniques that need to be used for the tape application. It has to be determined when and where and for how long it will be beneficial. This can only be determined by a professional such as qualified Kinesio Taping Chiropractic professionals.

It is extremely important that Kinesio Taping does not get confused with Sports taping. This form of taping is used to stabilize and support an injured areas during a sporting event. It obstructs the flow of the body fluids to the area which can be detrimental if left in place for too long of a period of time.
